Laura Dent Crane

Laura Dent Crane - The Automobile Girls Along The Hudson , or Fighting Fire in Sleepy Hollow - from the Automobile Girls Series AP1811

Regular price $110.00

Definitely a feminist project by this author to encourage women and girls to see themselves driving instead of being driven, to make them feel the car is theirs too. And, above all, it's an ADVENTURE story.

Fist edition, 1910. Broken spine. Well-loved and eagerly read.

We can't help feeling warmly towards Laura Dent Crane. She was the author of The Automobile Girls series, which consisted of six titles published between 1910-1913: The Automobile Girls at Newport; or Watching the Summer Parade (1910), The Automobile Girls in the Berkshires; or the Ghost of Lost Man's Trail (1910), The Automobile Girls along the Hudson; or Fighting Fire in Sleepy Hollow (1910), The Automobile Girls at Chicago; or Winning Out Against Heavy Odds (1912), The Automobile Girls at Palm Beach; or Proving Their Mettle Under Southern Skies (1913), and The Automobile Girls at Washington; or Checkmating the Plots of Foreign Spies (1913).

We kinda want to read them all.
